School Clubs

School Clubs

There are many clubs held during the school day and after school.

Some clubs are lead by teachers and others are held by outside tutors. Please note – external tutors run clubs separatley to the school, they must be contacted directly once the club has been chosen as the school is simply facilitating by providing accommodation.

More information on the clubs we provide is below.

Homework Club

Homework Club

This club is held afterschool Monday – Thursday and is £4 a session. Homework club enables pupils time to complete their homework before being picked up.

Code Club

Code Club

Code club allows pupils to experiment and build on the coding they complete within their Computer Science lessons. The club is run by two members of the Senior School, supervised by Mrs Dale.

Karate Club

Karate Club

This is held by John Byrne and Lorraine Byrne. They show the pupils the necessary skills required to move through their gradings and earn the different coloured belts.

First Lego Club

First Lego Club

Currently only aimed at Senior School, this club follows the First Lego League values and allows the pupils to work as part of a team to complete different challenges.

Choir

Choir

There is a Junior Choir and a Senior Choir.

Chess Club

Chess Club

Students learn how to master the game of Chess. Each week members challenge each other to a game and build on their skills. There are two clubs running each week, one for Seniors and one for Juniors.

Art Club

Art Club

Students are able to finish of their Art work or work on something new.

LAMDA

LAMDA

London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. This club is run by Jeni Law, who trains pupils to build skills needed to pass LAMDA exams. They are also encouraged to take part in the Isle of Wight Music, Dance and Drama Festival each year. 

Photography Club

Photography Club

Students are taught the different elements within photograghy and get the opportunity to research the many artists within the field. They are encouraged to take many of their own photographs and build a portfolio of all the things they learn.
