Senior School

Priory School’s Senior School takes pupils from age 11 through GCSEs at age 16 with a broad curriculum, small classes, and a steady focus on building confidence, self-discipline and academic achievement along the way.

Key Stage 3: S1 - S3 (Ages 11-13)

The senior school follows a wide curriculum designed to develop the talents and skills of our pupils, whether their bias is academic, vocational or of a more practical nature.

Academically, pupils are encouraged to give their best in all subjects, producing a sense of personal achievement and self-discipline. Even in the early years emphasis is placed upon preparation for GCSE and beyond. We feel this gives an aim and purpose, looking towards future achievements with positive encouragement from the teaching staff.

"The pupils are incredibly caring and respectful, and I love their intellectual curiosity.”

GCSE: S4 & S5 (Ages 14-16)

Our aim, as in the Pre-Prep & Prep School, is to encourage our pupils to strive to develop their potential confidently.

By ensuring that our classes remain small – no academic or subject class has more than 16 pupils – we are able to devote the necessary time to each individual.

We believe this is evidenced by our year-on-year GCSE grades, currently 97% grades 9-4.

"We are delighted with our son's exam results. He is thrilled, and has reflected on his time at Priory with fondness and gratitude."

A Level Studies

While the school does not offer a formal Sixth Form, we support a small number of pupils who choose to continue their A level studies within the school community.

This provision is tailored to the individual pupil, with a strong pastoral framework and a clear focus on academic attainment. Pupils are supported to pursue the A level subjects required for their intended university courses and to achieve the highest grades possible in order to maximise their future opportunities.
